This year Thanksgiving was very relaxing and not stressful at all. We had a pleasant day & were able to think about how blessed we are & how much we have to be thankful for. God is good! We didn't have to worry about preparing a big meal because Dan, Starla and I went out to eat! It was so nice to enjoy the day & then go to a buffet so Dan & I could both eat what we like. I love turkey, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, green beans & cranberry sauce (and much more), but Dan doesn't. He had a little bit of turkey, sausage, steak, ham, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & salad! We gobbled till we wobbled!!! :) The best part about going out was not having to cook or clean up... it made the food taste sooooo much better!!! :)

I can't believe Starla is already 4 months old! It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital looking into her blue eyes for the very first time. She is changing so quickly & her personality is blooming! She smiles at the sound & sight of Mommy & Daddy. She laughs at "special" games that are played between her & Daddy... Mommy tried & didn't do it correctly:) Yesterday she reached for her froggy toy! (You guessed it... straight to her mouth... she loves to "eat" her toys, fist, whatever!) She got lots of praise & hand clapping from us... which made her smile & laugh! She is so adorable & sweet... Dan & I look at her and we are amazed! We made a cutie:)! We can't imagine our lives without her... the past 9 &1/2 years were great & now a whole new adventure has begun! We have such fun times as we watch her grow, and can't wait for family trips & adventures!
I decided to set up this blog to let our "Little Star" shine! Starla is growing & changing so fast so we needed a way to keep in touch with friends & family. A lot has changed in the last year! Dan & I left the Azores Islands, (we loved our 2 years on the beautiful, tiny island) we bought our first home in Waynesville, Missouri & moved in November 13, 2007. The Phillips Trio began when we had our first baby in July 2008! We will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary on February 14, 2009!!!! Wow, how time flies!Starla Joi Phillips surprised us 4 weeks early & was born on July 22, 2008... she weighed 6 pounds, 1.5 ounces & was 17 & 3/4 inches long. Today she weighs 13 pounds, 3 ounces & is 23 & 1/2 inches long. I can't believe Star will be 4 months old on November 22... it seems like just yesterday we met for the very first time... now she smiles, laughs & loves to dance to music. I think I got my little ballerina! I love staying home & being a full time mommy! We enjoy going to our weekly lunch with our ARMY friends, Play Group & MOPS! We are very busy girls! When we are home we like to hang out in jammies & cuddle! Dan is an Air Force instructor & enjoys teaching. He enjoys being in the military & is great at what he does. He is also a great daddy & loves his "Little Peanut"! Starla enjoys watching Baby Einstein & reading books on her Daddy's lap while I cook dinner.We can't wait to see what new adventures we will experience as a Trio next!
